BJP announces RS Nominees

Lucknow Mar 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday has announced the list of 18 candidates for the Upcoming Elections for the 58 Rajya Sabha seats scheduled to take place on March 23.

Some of the prominent members who would join the RS are Former Maharashtra chief minister Narayan Rane, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, BJP general secretaries Anil Jain and Saroj Pandey, and spokespersons Anil Baluni and G V L Narasimha Rao.

Many of the candidates are from Uttar Pradesh and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley would also be re-elected from UP as BJP would gain majority seats as they have an absolute majority in the UP Assembly.

Sources said that the BJP would improve its ties in the Rajya Sabha as close to the majority.
