50,000 Farmers Protest in Mumbai

Mumbai Mar 12: In a move to ensure that their demands are met Nearly 50,000 farmers have reached Mumbai to corner the state Assembly. The Members have walked 180 KM from Nashik and they are part of All India Kisan Sangh an Ally of CPM.

Opposition Party NCP and Shivasena have supported the Farmers demands and have decided to hold discussions with the government for their demands.

The Farmers are demanding the implementation of Swaminathan Committee report complete farm loan waiver and other demands. The People in Mumbai have supported them and have urged the government to solve their problems.

The Farmers would reach the assembly in the evening and would press for their demands in a time-bound manner.
