TDP Rajyasabha Candidates

Amaravati Mar 11: The TDP party has finalized the nominees for the upcoming Rajyasabha Elections in April .Telugu Desam Party has finalized 2 candidates for the upcoming elections.

Cheif Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had held consultations with the party's second-rung leaders for three days before taking the final decision. He has finalized CM Ramesh and senior TDP leader and Lawyer Kanaka Medala.The Party has taken a U-turn and decided not field a 3rd candidate for Rajya Sabha even though it has chances.

EXperts said that TDP has taken u-turn because BJP MLAs support is needed for winning 3rd RS seat in Assembly and the party thought that BJP might not support them because of the ongoing rift between BJP and TDP in the state.

Opposition Party YSRCP had already decided to feild a candidate and with this the elections would be unanimous.
