PC to be booked in Nirav Modi Fraud?

New Delhi Mar 7: Currently the nose is tightening around Karti Chidambaram and the Investigative agencies are focussing on former Finance Minister P Chidambaram.ED has said that it has transferred some of the allegations of illegal FIPB clearances given.

However, some fresh revelations have emerged that PC has committed fraud. The Public Accounts Commitee a wing of Parliament has recommended a CBI Enquiry into the 80.20 gold scheme launched by former Finance Minister and approved by RBI Raghuram Rajan.

Earlier the BJP had alleged that 80.20 Gold scheme has benefitted 7 jewelry companies and they used the scheme for laundering money and one of the beneficiaries was Gitanjali jewelers who is the main accused in PNB scam.

Sources said that CBI may soon register a case and would investigate the matter as it has already started investigating the Nirav Modi case and this revelation may be a huge blow to Congress as they accused BJP for letting Nirav Modi flee away.
