Shammi aunty Passed Away

Mumbai, Mar 06: Veteran Bollywood actress Shammi, popularly known as 'Shammi aunty' passed away today (March 06) at the age of 89.

Shammi Rabadi passed away at her home here late on Monday, a family friend said.

According to sources information, she had been ailing since some time. She breathed her last at her Juhu Circle home.

Shammi was born as Nargis Rabadi, but she later changed her name to Shammi. Her father was a priest, who died when she was around three years old.

She became a popular character artist portraying supporting roles of aunt, granny, elder spinster in the family, et al, besides acting for television serials.
