Governor Sensational Comments on Central Govt

Amaravati, Mar 05: The Special Status is one of the major aspiring assets for Andhra Pradesh. After the Bifurcation of Telugu State, The People of Andhra Pradesh have demanded the Special Status for their State.

But Central Govt has not given a Special Status instead they gave the special package, and they stated that that is more than a special status.

In this regard, Several Parties including ruling party TDP also guns on Central Govt to provide a Special Status.But eventually, they did not gain the Special Status from Narendra Modi led Team.

In this regard, Governor of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana E S L Narasimhan on Monday pronounced the demand for special category status to AP, while addressing the joint session of AP assembly and council at Amaravati.

Referring to the pending assurances given in the AP Reorganisation Act, the Governor categorically said the Centre had no option but to grant the special category status to AP at any cost.

Narasimhan said all the promises made in the Act, including Railway Zone for Visakhapatnam, Dugarajapatnam port in Nellore and the division of assets between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, besides releasing the promised amount towards revenue deficit should also be fulfilled at the earliest.

"My government has been negotiating with the Centre to get all these demands fulfilled. There is no question of any compromise on them," the Governor said.
