CBI registers FIR in Rural Bank

Uttarpradesh Mar 2: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday has unearthed a new bank fraud in a Rural bank in Uttarpradesh.The agency has registered an FIR against branch manager and eight other employees of a regional rural bank over an alleged scam of over Rs 14 crore in Uttar Pradesh's Hasanpur.

The Bank has detected the fraud and reported to the CBI and has suspended the ID and password. CBI has said that "The main accused Branch Manager, Vipin Kumar, and others used to debit the number of Pratham Kisan credit card accounts and then transfer the amount into Secured Overdraft accounts and other accounts."

Currently, it is scams season and many bank frauds have come up after PNB scam of Rs 12,000 cr broke out and more scams broke out.
