Cabinet approves Special Scheme to promote Service sector

New Delhi Feb 28: The Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken crucial decisions today. The Union cabinet has approved

# Thrust policy for Service sector: Under the scheme RS 5000 Cr would be allocated for developing the 12 champion service sectors The funds would be allocated for the services which include

IT& ITS, Tourism and Hospitality, Medical value Travel,
Transport and Logistic services, Accounting and Finance services, Audio Visual Services, Legal Services, Communication services, Construction and related Engineering services, Environmental services, Financial and Educational Services.

Minister Suresh Prabhu has said that IT sector has contributed significantly for the growth of Service sector in the country. A special focus would be laid on development of Artificial Intelligence, Intelligence of Things and Industrial 4.0 revolution.

The scheme would ensure that reforms would taken in regulations, Technical standards would be improved, steps would be taken to promote Tourism, Medical services, Skill development.

Minister said that these steps would ensure that more jobs would be created in these sectors.
