Sridevi Funeral Updates

Mumbai, Feb 28: The Kapoors had announced that before the 3:30 p.m. cremation today, well-wishers can visit the Celebration Club near Sridevi's home, where a prayer meeting will be held between 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Long queues were seen outside Mumbai's Celebration Sports Club. Nearly 200 policemen have been posted at the spot and a police band was deployed in honour of Sridevi, who was a recipient of the Padma Shree award.



People have come from as far as Karnataka and Chennai to catch a last glimpse of the actor, who had ruled Bollywood and the southern cinema over her five-decade career.

The Dubai Public Prosecutor's Office put an end to speculation about the cause of her death, saying she accidentally drowned in the bathtub following loss of consciousness, and that the "case was now closed".
