Polling ends in Nagaland and Meghalaya

Mumbai Feb 27: The polling in Northeastern states Meghalaya and Nagaland has ended at 4 pm on Tuesday. The voting began at 7 am.

Chandra Bhushan Kumar, deputy election commissioner, told the media that "In Meghalaya, 67% voting was recorded. Large number of polling stations are still in queue and so we are expecting this number to rise."

He added that "In Nagaland, till now the figures that have been received, 75% voting has taken place as of 4 pm but this figure is likely to go up.".

He added that "Counting for all three states—Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland—will happen on 3 March and begins at 8 am."

Currently, all the three states have 60 assembly constituencies each.currently, BJP has aggressively campaigained and hopes that it would come to power in all the 3 states.
