Implantation of Biometric system in JNTU..

Hyderabad December 6 : Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) had released the notification about biometric attendance system previously. It have been provided the information for the Implementation of Biometric Attendance System for all faculty members, staff members & students.

But the University failed to implement the System due to disclosed reasons.

In the meeting of Vice Chancellors with honorable Dy. Chief Minister and Minister for Education the honorable Dy. Chief Minister informed to introduce Biometric attendance System in all the Educational Institutions immediately. Also, the University has informed to introduce the Biometric attendance system for faculty and students in affiliated colleges while issuing the affiliation orders.

Hence, the university proposes for implantation of BAS to all JNTUH constituent and Affiliated Colleges. There are 158 engineering colleges in the state, with over 57,000 students. JNTU issued the guidelines after receiving directives from deputy chief minister and education minister Kadiyam Srihari.

The colleges are hereby informed to Procure and install Biometric based attendance system for online capturing of attendance of Staff (in 1st Phase) and Students (in 2nd Phase) should be completed by December 19th.
