Kannada,Malayalam Movie industries to be less impacted

Bangalore Feb 23: In a major Move the South Indian Film Distribution and production Associaton have decided to halt the movie screening from March 2. The decision was taken after the discussions with Digital Service providers such as QUBE, UFO have failed.

Sources said that the DSPs have offered some special package but it was rejected by the film movie producers.The Association has announced that No movie would be displayed across South India from next week and it has a huge impact on Kollywood and Tollywood Industries.

Sources said that the impact on this decision on Kannada and Malayalam industries would be less and similar to Tollywood as there are no major releases.

The Malayalam industry has films like Prithviraj's Detroit Crossing and Mammootty's Bilal waiting to be released in March.

In Kannada, the third Part of Dandupalya series is scheduled to hit the screens on March 2. The Kannada remake of Dhanush's Pa Paandi, starring Ambareesh, Suhasini Maniratnam, and Sruthi Hariharan is also due for release.
