No South Indian to be screened from March 2

Bangalore Feb 23: In a major Move the South Indian Film Distribution and production Associaton have decided to halt the movie screening from March 2. The decision was taken after the discussions with Digital Service providers such as QUBE, UFO have failed.

Earlier the film producers and distributors have announced strike from March if the DSPs failed to reduce the high fees collected from movie theatre owners and distributors.

Sources said that the DSPs have offered some special package but it was rejected by the film movie producers. The association was also concerned on the increasing monopoly of Digital Service Providers who have eaten away their profits?

The Association has announced that No movie would be displayed across South India from next week .
