UIDAI reveals blue-colored Baal Aadhaar card for below 5 yrs Children

Hyderabad, Feb 23: As we know that, The unique identification Aadhar card has been linking with the bank accounts, mobile number and with other important documents has been made mandatory by the government. However, Aadhaar card is not only necessary for the adults but also for the children.

As you all have to know that children going to school also having Aadhaar card because of their verification process.Now the children below 5 years also going to get the Aadhaar card without any biometric details but they all have to complete their mandatory verification process at the age of 5 years and when they turned 15-years-old again have to face the verification process.

To make the categorization simpler for children, UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) authorities have derived a new concept for the children below 5-year-old that from this year children to get a blue color 'Baal Aadhaar' cards.

This information has been shared by the UIDAI on the Twitter official page."A child below 5 years of age gets a blue in colored Aadhaar known as Baal Aadhaar. When the child becomes 5 yr old, a mandatory biometric update is required. Failing to do this till 7 years may result in suspension. #AadhaarForMyChild".

However, the tweet showed an infographic attachment that showed a blue-colored Aadhaar card. While children of such age do not have to mandatorily enroll for Aadhaar, it is mandatory for attending educational programmes overseas to availing other government scholarships.
