Mumbai, Feb 15: Mumbai Indians will start the defense of their Indian Premier League (IPL) title against two-time winners Chennai Super Kings on April 7 as the organizers announced fixtures for the 2018 season that will culminate with the final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 27.
The 11th edition of the cash-rich league of the world’s most richest and fancy T20 tournament will be spread across nine venues in a period of 51 days.
CSK and Rajasthan Royals (RR) who are making a comeback after a two-year spot-fixing ban will see their matches being played at their original venues – MA Chidambaram Stadium and the Sawai Mansingh Stadium respectively.
Kings XI Punjab will share Indore and Mohali as their home venues, playing three and four matches respectively at the two venues.
