Mumbai techie arrested for creating fake Twitter account of Sara Tendulkar

Mumbai, Feb 08: The Mumbai Police officials have arrested a techie here for creating a fake social media account in the name of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's daughter Sara Tendulkar.

Nitin Shisode, 39, was arrested two days ago by the cyber police, Akbar Pathan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime) said.

He was held on charges of creating a fake Twitter handle in the name of Sara Tendulkar.

He has been charged with impersonation, cheating and defamation under IPC and the IT Act. A court has sent him to police custody till February 9.

The complaint against Shishode was filed by Sachin Tendulkar's personal assistant. The fake account had shocked Sachin Tendulkar, the complaint said
