HC questions AP For Delay in Issuing Land Pattas

Hyderabad, Feb 07: The Hyderabad High Court has pulled the Andhra Pradesh government up for its inordinate delay in issuing pattas to beneficiaries under Indiramma housing scheme.
The High Court was dealing with a PIL filed by MLA Y Visweshwar Reddy of Uravakonda in Anantapur district seeking directions to authorities to act on finalising distribution of houses and lands, extend financial support for construction of houses.
In November, 2017, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claimed in Legislative Assembly that the state government has taken up construction of 13,66,557 houses as part of rural and urban housing scheme.
