Kerala-CPI leader slams general secretary Sitaram

Kerala, Feb 05: The rift in CPI(M) came in open after few leaders slammed general secretary Sitaram Yechury at a meet here on Sunday. Sitaram has confirmed on Saturday that a complaint against the son of state Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has been received in a fraud case.

The complaint against Balakrishnan's elder son Binoy Balakrishnan about an alleged Rs 13 crore fraud committed in Dubai was received by the party.

Many state leaders attacked Yechury in their speeches at the district conference, in which both Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Balakrishnan took part, with a few even accusing him of being disgruntled for not getting a Rajya Sabha renomination.
