Various Acts ammended in budget

NewDelhi Feb 3: The Finance minister on Thursday has presented the budget and the FM has proposed to amend several Acts via Finance Bill. Some of them are

# Securities and Exchange Board of India Act 1992 (SEBI ACT)
#Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act 1956 (SCRA)
# Depositories Act 1996
FM has said that "above acts are being amended to streamline adjudication procedures and to provide for penalties for certain infractions."

# RBI Act would be amended to allow the central bank to suck out excess liquidity from the money market without offering any securities as collateral.

# Indian Stamp Act to be amended for reforms in stamp duty regime on financial securities transactions in consultation

#National Housing Bank Act is being amended to transfer its equity from the Reserve Bank of India to the Government.

#Indian Post OfficesAct

#National Saving Certificate Act are being amalgamated and certain additional people-friendly measures introduced

# Customs Act to facilitate ease of doing business.
