Eggs hurled at Odisha CM at inauguration function by woman

Balasore, Jan 31: Eggs were hurled at Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik in Balasore at a gathering on Wednesday.

A woman identified as wife of a BJP worker hurled two eggs at him back to back when he was addressing a gathering at the inauguration of Talsari beach festival.

While other leaders on the stage were hit, the chief minister was escorted away unhurt, said a Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader.

The woman was protesting arrest of her husband, she brought eggs in her bag and threw them from behind the barricades said SP Niti Sekhar.



BJD condemned the act and said that opposition is behind it.
