MEA detects 13 illegal recruitment agencies in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jan 31: In a major tip-off, As many as 13 recruitment agencies functioning illegally in the State have been identified by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

These agencies, some of which are working close to the State borders, have been found not to be registered with the Ministry.

These recruitment agencies, officials in the NRI Forum said, are operating in Mangaluru, Kalaburagi, Belagavi, and Bengaluru, and sending workers mainly to West Asian countries and Malaysia.

The list was handed over to the forum during a meeting for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas seeking action against them.
