USA Lifts Refugee Ban on 11 High Risk Countries

Washington Jan 30: The USA Government on Monday has announced that "It has lifted the ban on refugees from 11 'high-risk' countries " and also said that "those seeking to enter the US would come under much tougher scrutiny than in the past."

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has said that "It's critically important that we know who is entering the United States, these additional security measures will make it harder for bad actors to exploit our refugee program, and they will ensure we take a more risk-based approach to protecting the homeland."

However, the government had not named the 11 countries officially but the refugees claim they are "Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Mali, North Korea, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen."

Earlier the USA President has taken a tougher stance on Immigrants.
