Speedy disposal of pending cases must for ease of doing business

New Delhi Jan 29: The government has today tabled the economic survey in parliament ahead of the budget session and the Cheif Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanyam has addressed the media regarding the survey. The Survey had pointed out that to ensure of ease of doing business the government and judiciary must focus on speedy justice and disposal of pending cases in courts.

The survey has pointed out that currently there are huge pendency of cases related to tax proposals and other financial matters in various courts and these cases many years to be disposed
and these results in stalling of many projects.

The Survey had also pointed that the supreme court had appointed special bench to deal with these cases and has resulted in the speedy disposal of cases.

The Survey had also pointed out that sometimes courts have crossed their jurisdiction which had also resulted in the logjam .

Finally, Survey had pointed out that the judiciary, executive must work in a cooperative manner similar to GST but with separation of powers so that pendency of cases comes down

The Survey had also suggested that tax department can also fix some issues so that there would be no litigation and government must focus more on creating judicial infrastructure.
