# GST and demonetization had lead to increase in number of tax filers and taxpayers and helped in expanding tax base

# The GST revenues are growing at 12 % and states would be majority benefitting from the tax reform.

GST is a crucial example of how cooperative federalism can achieve major reforms and the same model can be implemented in other areas such as DBT, education, health where states play a key role in implementing reforms.

GST would also provide larger data from states which helps in research of economy.
