Techie killed after falling from Chennai Airport

Chennai, Jan 29: Here is tragic incident has unveiled while a software employee from Andhra Pradesh was killed after falling off a flyover at Chennai airport around 6.30 am on Monday.

The deceased, identified as Chaitanya Vuyuru of Vijayawada, was employed at an IT company in Bengaluru.

According to the witnesses, had been sitting on the railing of the flyover and had fallen off.

The flyover is used for dropping passengers at the domestic and international departure terminals.

The CCTV camera footage showed that the man was either attempting to take a selfie or talking to someone on the phone while sitting on the railing.

Chaitanya had suffered multiple fractures on his skull.

Police are conducting checks to determine whether it was a case of a suicide or accidental fall.

While he was not carrying any bag or have any air-ticket with him, police recovered an identity card from him and contacted his father.

A case has been registered by the airport police under Section 174 (unnatural death) of the CrPC. Further investigations are on.
