Budget must focus on Agriculture

New Delhi Jan 29: The government has today tabled the economic survey in parliament ahead of the budget session and the Cheif Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanyam has addressed the media regarding the survey.CEA had highlighted the major policy decisions that the government must undertake in the coming year.

Boost Agriculture: The government must allocate more funds to the agriculture and irrigation sector so that the farm's distress can be completed.

Complete the ongoing projects/schemes which were announced earlier so that results can be achieved.

Stabilise GST: The government must further simplify GST so that more tax can be collected and taxpayer-friendly so that more number of people can pay tax

Complete privatization of Air India: The government must complete the privatization of Air India which was announced last year.

Complete the Resolution of bad loans: The IBC process on loan defaulters must be completed so that the bank's health can be restored.

No major economic reforms are needed but actions must be taken to control the rising oil prices.
