Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell fetched hefty prices

Mumbai, Jan 27: It took little time for the IPL Player Auction 2018 to go into overdrive as, Mitchell Starc, Glenn Maxwell all fetched hefty prices.

Australian pace spearhead Starc too attracted a bidding war with Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab going head to head. He eventually went to KKR for a whopping Rs 9.4 Crore. Fellow Australian, Glenn Maxwell saw a four-way tussle between SRH, DD, RCB and RR, before DD finally saw off the competition with a Rs 9 Crore bid.

Shikhar Dhawan, Kieron Pollard, Ajinkya Rahane and Faf du Plessis were meanwhile brought back by their respective teams using the RTM options.
