Fast action my RPF; Harassment on train tweeted; accused arrested

Police inspector Smita Tandi, who had received the President's medal for her service, alleged that an assistant professor tried to misbehave with her in a moving train. The accused was arrested after she narrated her ordeal on Twitter.

The incident occurred between Bilaspur and Bhatapara railway stations when Smita Tandi was returning after attending a marriage in Bihar. She was travelling in the same coach as the accused who started harassing her as soon as the train moved. In distress, the woman started tweeting her ordeal– she once tagged the railway protection force in one of her tweets.

The RPF constables took note of her tweets and swung into action. They arrested the accused at the Bhatapara railway station.
