Clubs and bars in Gurugram closed on Jan 24

The clubs and bars in Gurugram will remain closed from 7 PM on January 24 till further orders in the light of state-wide protests against Padmaavat. The order further calls for strict action against the defaulters.

Earlier in the day, the protesters torched bus and pelted stones in protest against Padmaavat at Sohna Road in Gurugram.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Supreme Court had refused to modify its earlier order which had cleared the decks for the nationwide release of 'Padmaavat', saying people must understand that orders of the top court have to be "abided with". The order was passed by a bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra while rejecting pleas filed by Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh seeking modification in its January 18 order.
