Australian Open :Federer creates record ,enters quarters

Melbourne, Jan 22: World number 3 tennis player Roger Federer has entered quarter-finals of the Australian Open after defeating Hungarian Marton Fucsovics in straight sets here on Monday.
The defending champion has eased past Fucsovics 6-4, 7-6(3), 6-2 in pre-quarterfinal clash of the men's singles event that was held at Melbourne Park.
Federer has made it to his 14th Australian Open quarter-final besides and also extended his Open Era record by reaching his 52nd Grand Slam last-eight.
He has also became the oldest man to reach the quarter-finals at the Melbourne Park since Ken Rosewall (43 years) in 1977.
The Swiss player will now face Tomas Berdych of Czech Republic for a place in last four.
