Ram Nath Kovind condoles deaths in Delhi factory fire

New Delhi, Jan 21: President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday expressed grief over the death of 17 people in a huge fire at a plastic warehouse in west Delhi's Bawana area.

He took his twitter handler and tweeted that, "Shocked to hear about the fire in a factory in Delhi.Condolences to bereaved families. Prayers with those who have been injured,".

Fifteen fire tenders doused the blaze within two hours. The exact cause of the fire was not immediately known. Officials, however, suspected that a short-circuit could have led to the blaze. At least half a dozen people are still trapped inside the building.
