Mumbai Jan 19: In a major move to ensure two big films don't clash at the Box office Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar has postponed the release of his upcoming film PadMan to Feb 9 from Jan 25.

Akshay Kumar and Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali have jointly Addressed the media and the Actor has said that "PadMan was being moved at the request of Mr. Bhansali.He has gone through a lot. It is essential for them to release the film at this time, their stakes are higher than mine".

Later Director Bhansali has thanked the hero and said that "I will be grateful to him for a lifetime. This is how we stand with each other."

Padmavat is a periodic film directed by Bhansali and is slated to release on Jan 25 and the film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.

Padman is a film directed by R Balki and it stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte in the lead roles of the film.
