Court directs issue of Arrest Warrant against Vijay Mallya

New Delhi Jan 19: A court has directed issuance of arrest warrant against defaulter businessman Vijay Mallya+ and 18 others in the Kingfisher Airlines case based on a complaint filed by Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO).

Earlier the SFIO has found that the Airlines have violated many provisions of the company law .The court has ordered has said that the amount involved in the case is heavy and that warrant has to be issued against all the accused and has also ordered registering of "special criminal case" against the 19 entities.

Currently, the Liquor Baron is in the UK and He is currently accused of duping the bank's worth Rs 9000 cr and the extradition is pending in UK court.
