UoH Dalit professor abused by student-RSS-ABVP leader; UoH ignores

Hyderabad, Jan 09: Authorities of University of Hyderabad are being accused of ignoring a Dalit professor's complaint against a RSS Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad leader.

According to the professor, the authorities ignored the complaint against a leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, who allegedly made an abusive comment against him on social media.

The RSS-ABVP leader, Karan Palsaniya, a research scholar, used filthy words on his Facebook page against the professor- K Laxminarayana of the School of Economics for asking a question about privatisation and saffronisation of education.

The professor complained about this to the vice-chancellor P Appa Rao on November last year but no action was taken against the accused.

The professor has been mailing to vice-chancellor to know about his complaint status but the university authorities are not answering him. Professor said that he doesn't want any punitive action against the student and just want him to apologises for his comment.

Ambedkar Students Union's students are planning to protest against this and ask for justice.
