Free WiFi facility for Medaram Jatara Devotees

Warangal, Jan 09: Here is a good news for those devotees who are going to attend Medaram Sammakka-Sarakka Jatara. They can use Internet up to 500 MB free of cost.

This is because the State government had allocated Rs 20 lakh to BSNL, Warangal, to provide the Wi-Fi services. Disclosing this to the media at his office here on Monday, BSNL Principal General Manager (PGM), Warangal, K Narender, said they were setting up 20 hotspots with nearly 70 access points in the surroundings of the jatara venue. He also said they were also setting up 16 temporary cell towers for this purpose.

"Some 30,000 to 40,000 people can access the services at a time. Moreover, we are offering 100 mbps data speed for the benefit of the users. The Jayashankar Bhupalpally police have already asked for 50 mbps Internet Leased Line (ILL) for the purpose," Narender added.

Mahabubabad MP A Sitaram Naik thanked IT Minister KT Rama Rao for sanctioning Rs 20 lakh to BSNL. He said for the time, the devotees would be able to access the free Wi-Fi services at the jatara. He also said Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu and Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram had expressed their willingness to attend the jatara.

The biennial jatara is scheduled to be held from January 31 to February 3, which would be attended by nearly one crore devotees.
