North Korea to participate in Winter Olympic Games

North Korea Jan 6: North Korea may participate in the Winter Olympic Games that would be held next month in South Korea.Chang Ung, the North Korean International Olympic Committee (IOC) member has confirmed the news of the country's participation in the games.

His Remarks Assume significance because earlier the North Korean President Kim Jong Un has hinted that his country would be participating in the games. the president has said that both Korean countries must come together for conducting Olympic games and has initiated the dialogue process with South Korea which was Suspended last year.



The 2018 Olympic Winter Games will be held in South Korea's Pyeongchang from February 9-25. Earlier the North Korean leader has given punishment for his athletes as they have not won the medals in Rio Olympics in 2016 and he hopes that his team would win medals in winter Olympics.
