Karni Sena demands resignation of I&B minister CBFC clearing Padmavat

Sanjay Leela Bhansali got a sigh of relief after the censor board cleared his movie with U/A certificate. Padmavati was under controversies and CBFC clearing it was a big relief for maker and actors.

The special panel that included historians as well, saw the film and gave it a U/A certificate. They have also suggested a change in title for the film, making it Padmavat, from previous Padmavati to indicate that the film is a work of fiction based on the poem by Mallik Muhammad Jayasi in 1540. However, these measures were not enough to satisfy the Rajput Karni Sena.

The Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena which was silent for few days to wait and watch the CBFC decision has raised its voice again.

The community will begin a nationwide protest against the film today. They are now angry at the authorities responsible for clearing the film.
