RS adjourned over Triple talaq bill

New Delhi Jan 4: The upper house of parliament on Thursday has discussed the situation of the economy and the steps taken by the government to create jobs.However, no bill was taken up as there was
confusion about which bill should be taken up.

The opposition demanded that the triple talaq bill should be sent to select committee but the government had proposed to move GST bill.

Both the opposition and ruling party members accused each other and the Deputy chairman has said that the government has the choice to decide which bill should be taken up.

Finally, the house was adjourned till Friday as there was no consensus on the passage of the bill.
