Rahul Gandhi will make his first foreign visit after being elected as the Congress party President. Rahul Gandhi will visit Bahrain on January 7 evening to address an NRI conclave on January 8.
The visit is aimed at promoting Rahul Gandhi as a brand after his visit to the US last September received a positive response.
The sole purpose of such trips is to boost Rahul's global image as a popular leader and also reach out to the NRIs.
Recently, Rahul visited Goa where Sonia Gandhi is spending her holidays after assigning party command to Rahul. Rahul Gandhi went to Goa to welcome the New Year with his mother.
