Sons of late king Abdullah released; Settlement amount not disclosed

Saudi Arabia, Dec 29: Two sons of late king Abdullah have been released after two months of detension by Saudi Arabia.

Prince Turki bin Abdullah was the only brother left in detention, the source said, without adding if his brothers had reached a cash settlement to be released.

Many prince and businessmen were called in a hotel for meeting and were detained by the orders Saudi's crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

This detension was termed as anti-corruption purge but many human-right activist termed it as a way to take money and power from the powerful people who were opposing Bin Salman.

Saudi government released few in exchange for more than $1 billion. This was detension settlement amount demanded by the government.
