Hyderabad, Dec 26: The 2017 year can decisively be called the year of Telugu cinema. We have won box office, National awards and made path-breaking films too that grabbed the attention of the nationwide audience. It is also the year when Telugu cinema proved its box office reach.

Here is the list of biggest openers (Day 1) of South film industry in 2017. 4 out of Top 5 and 6 out of Top 8 are Telugu films only, the sheer domination of Telugu cinema.

Baahubali 2 (Hindi version) is also the biggest opener of Indian cinema this year, not even Salman Khan's 'Tiger Zinda Hai' could beat its Day 1 record.
