BSNL to launch 4G services from Jan 2018

Mumbai Dec 26: Another telecom operator in the country is ready to offer 4G services in the country. BSNL is ready to launch 4G services in the country from January 2018 starting from Kerala.

BSNL Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Shrivastava has said that "We are going to start 4G from Kerala. That will be our first circle on 4G LTE." This will be followed by Odisha, a revenue positive circle for BSNL."

Currently, the government-owned telecom company is offering 3G services in the various parts of the country apart from 2G.Currently, Airtel and Reliance Jio are offering 4G services and more number of customers have shifted to 4G as Jio offered free services for 6 months.

Sources said that BSNL would also rollout cheaper plans for faster adoption of 4G after it expands its services in the country to counter JIO and Airtel.
