Vijay Rupani Took oath as Gujarat CM

Gujarat Dec 26: Vijay Rupani on Tuesday had sworn in as the chief minister of Gujarat for the second consecutive term as the BJP won the recently-held Assembly elections in the State.

Rupani and his deputy Nitin Patel took oath and the swearing in process was administered by Governor O P Kohli at a grand ceremony in Gandhinagar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and chief ministers of various BJP-ruled states attended the ceremony.Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had also attended the ceremony.

Earlier before the swearing-in ceremony Rupani and his wife offered prayers at the Panchdev Mahadev temple. The BJP had won 99 seats out of 182 seats and Congress has won 80 seats in the state.

Earlier Rupani became the CM after Anandi Ben Patel had resigned as the CM of the state.
