Boy killed, 20 ijnjured after Scorpio rammed Auto rikshaw

West Godavari, Dec 25: In a tragic road accident, a boy was killed and as many as 20 others were grievously injured when a Scorpio rammed into an autorickshaw. The incident occurred at Korellugudem village in Bhimadole Mandal in West Godavari district on Sunday.

All the victims were rushed to Bhimadole and Eluru government hospitals. According to eyewitnesses, the speeding Scorpio which was believed to be registered in West Bengal rammed into the auto which was transporting daily wage laborers.

The vehicle also collided with two other bikes that were coming from opposite direction. Heart-wrenching scenes of bodies strewn around were seen on the highway.

A case has been registered against the driver under the Section of negligent driving, causing hurt and investigation is on.
