AIR Deccan Resumes its services after Decade

Mumbai Dec 23: In a major for passengers the Air Deccan the Airline operator had resumed its services after a decade.The operator's flight took off between Mumbai and Jalgaon in northern Maharashtra on Saturday.

Airline's founder Captain G.R. Gopinath has told media that "We have received the regulatory authority's (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) approval and would commence our operations on Saturday from Mumbai to Jalgaon ."

Sources said that "The airline would be employing a Beechcraft 1900D, an 18-passenger twin-engine fixed-wing aircraft for the routes. "

Air Deccan was founded in 2003 by Gopinath, a retired Indian Army captain and it had later shut its operations after it had merged with defunct Kingfisher Airlines in 2007.
