Gujarat Tops,Sikkim in Bottom Under PMAY -Urban Scheme

New Delhi Dec 23: The Ministry Of Housing and Urban Affairs had released the data of a number of houses constructed for urban poor people under the 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)'.According to the data released

# 54,474 houses have been constructed in Gujarat since 2014-15 under the scheme which accounts to 18.7 % of total houses constructed under the scheme.

# 2.91 lakh total houses constructed in 36 states and UTs in the country.
# Gujarat has received the central assistance of Rs 1,355 crore for construction of these houses.
# Karnataka constructed Rs 33,450 houses since 2014-15.
# Tamil Nadu constructed 32,730 houses
# Madhya Pradesh constructed 27,862 houses
# Jharkhand constructed 27,308 houses
# West Bengal constructed 24,166 houses
# Maharashtra constructed 22,699 houses
# Andra Pradesh constructed 21,794 houses
# Rajasthan constructed 12,274 houses
# Delhi constructed 1,262 houses
# Tripura and Uttar Pradesh constructed between 5,000 and 10,000 houses
# Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab, Telangana and
Uttarakhand constructed between 1,000 and 5,000 houses.
# Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Daman and Diu, Goa, Meghalaya, and Puducherry constructed less than 100 houses
# Sikkim constructed only one house.
