BCCI Appoints General Manager

New Delhi, December 23: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed former India wicketkeeper Saba Karim as General Manager, Cricket Operations on Saturday.

As per the BCCI release, Karim will be responsible for implementing operational plans, budgeting, monitoring the match playing conditions and administration of the Domestic program.

The General Manager's post had been left vacant after the resignation of MV Sridhar over issue of conflict of interest.

Karim played one Test and 34 One-Day Internationals for India, in an international career that spanned from January 1997 to Novemer 2000
