DCI employees 3 day strike to end today

Visakhapatnam Dec 22: In a move to oppose the Privatization and to send a strong message to the Government of India the Employees of the Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) have boycotted the duties and are on a 3-day strike which would be concluded Today.

The Employees began the strike on Wednesday and they have all boycotted their duties and the demanded that the central government must rollback the proposal of a strategic sale of DCI.

Apart from employees, dredgers have also joined the strike bringing a total halt to operations in the city.

Earlier the Andra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu had assured the employees that DCI wouldn't be privatized and he would talk to the central government. However, the Employees were not satisfied with his assurances and they have started the strike.
