Melbourne car attack: SUV rammed 19 pedestrians on busy street

Australia, Dec 21: An SUV rammed number of pedestrians on a busy central Melbourne street on Thursday. Atleast 19 people were injured and police believe it to be a deliberate act.

However, police have not yet ruled out terror motive. The two men in SUV were arrested by Australia police. Victoria state police said the driver of the vehicle and a second man were in custody after the incident, which occurred on Flinders Street in the city's central business district just after 4.45 pm when the area was busy with Christmas shoppers.

The motive behind the attack was not known yet.
