2G Spectrum verdict announced :A Raja and 16 others Acquitted

New Delhi Dec 21: The CBI Special Court on Thursday delivered a verdict in 2G scam case and said that the Former Telecom minister A Raja and DMK MP kanimozhi were not guilty and the court had acquitted the 17 members.

Earlier the CBI and Enforcement Directorate filed cases in the 2G spectrum scam and the agencies in their charge sheets have accused A Raja and others in the case.

Earlier the CAG report has pointed out that there was an estimated loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore to the government by allotting the spectrum on first come first serve basis rather than auction.

The Supreme court had earlier had canceled the 122 licenses obtained by the telecom operators after a plea was filed by BJP MP Subramanyam Swamy.
